What knowledge is this? Behold!
Divine creations of a god who merely looks as though he’s bored.
Cares more about a dying star than you or me or life beneath the never ending sea or all on land.
And his warm forgiving hands
And this life and all we know
Are just pictures for his show
So now I close my eyes.
Look back at the days
Wrestle with the agonizing news
Another morning
a never changing view
Left with only spiritual devices
And everybody’s happy
Because the price is always right
And the valiant, oh they fight
With their rocks and sticks they came
But they died without a name
A tired god looks on.
