A darker shade of grey.
The light gets washed away.
Able to barely move like running in a dream
It’s not what it seems
It robs us of the things that make us want to live again
Feels like I’ve lost a friend
And then it all comes fading in as if to say, “How was your day? Did you try to smile away the sadness just to fail again?”
This life is paper thin
And then we reawaken on another page
Don’t act your age
Act out your rage
Illusions before us
To hinder the self
One must become ones own savior
So you may breath again

A Tired God Looks On
05:30
|
|||
What knowledge is this? Behold!
Divine creations of a god who merely looks as though he’s bored.
Cares more about a dying star than you or me or life beneath the never ending sea or all on land.
And his warm forgiving hands
And this life and all we know
Are just pictures for his show
So now I close my eyes.
Look back at the days
Wrestle with the agonizing news
Another morning
a never changing view
Left with only spiritual devices
And everybody’s happy
Because the price is always right
And the valiant, oh they fight
With their rocks and sticks they came
But they died without a name
A tired god looks on.

Before I Disappear
02:51
|
|||
And I believe in those things some know not to be
For I have died a hundred thousand times for all to see.
For all to see. For all to see.
I’m neither here nor there nor anywhere for I am free.
And while I’m free and while I’m able
My soul beneath the earth will spin the fable
I never dreamed that one day I’d be here
I need to breath it in before I disappear. Before I disappear
So you say they don’t know me. Satellites fly above me.
Take a look through the windows of my soul as so it goes.
And people came from far and wide and held their hands up to the sky
And put their faith in something they could neither see touch nor deny
And I know that they know. And I know that they know.

Song About Death
04:49
|
|||
Come together lets hold hands
I wrote a song about death
we call can sing along
Bless the child Bless the son
I wrote a song about death
we all can sing along
“No illusions. No more lies.” Said the Universe to all whom it applies
Bless the child Bless the son
And wrap your arms around the ones who sang along
And don’t forget to haunt the ones you love
For the ones you love may do the same to you
And don’t forget to whisper in my ear
When I am lost theres nothing to ever fear
Or that I should fear
No illusions. No more gods. Behold I see what brought me home to you.

Ships of Antikythera
03:13
|
|||
We held onto the bridge out on the open sea.
With no one else around. Only you and me.
And we began to pray with water all around
And so without reply we never made a sound
Eyes burned bright yet couldn’t see all hope lost in front of me.
Golden gears of a love divine somewhere somehow lost to time.
And as the sun collapsed and as the moon did rise
We set our gaze upon the holy heavens sky
But did we ever doubt that he would hear our call?
So with a final breath so was the final call.

I threw away the photographs that made me think of you
Behold the mighty sun was flushed out by the moon
I looked away but always knew that picture would never changed
But oh, the evil world would have its evil way with me and you.
Forever waiting. Forever waiting.
I walked around among the devastation and debris
And found the heart that made the man that once was me
I was alone and I felt free then I felt you in front of me
Was it a dream? Am I awake? Or was it all one big mistake?
For I am forever waiting.
Forever waiting.

The Universe it speaks through me
Deep in the earth my roots, this giving tree
This skin, this vessel that I’m in its only temporary
And if god were here he’d tell it to your face
Yea, he’d tell it to your face
But as I stand before you vacant now
Tomorrows just a memory
As I stand before you now tomorrows a memory.
Just a memory.
The universe it speaks through me
Deep in the earth my roots, this giving tree
This skin, this vessel that I’m in its only temporary
Unnecessary.

Swallowed By The Sea
04:33
|
|||
Cast among the waves. Fearless is the heart.
And holy is my name. And god just plays a part.
And angels call to me as I’m swallowed by the sea.
I’m off to see the truth thats been kept so long from me.
I’m off to see the truth thats been kept so long from me.

Feels like I’ve lost a friend
And then it all comes fading in as if to say, “How was your day? Did you try to smile away the sadness just to fail again?”
Just let the darkness in
No need to generate a motive to receive
And one must believe and always know that theres an emptiness
Inside us all
So we must learn to fall and learn to see the blatant beauty that we are
So say you are. So say you are
So say you’re wonderful
And, “I am beautiful” and “I am intricate in every single way”
So how was your day? How was your Day?
This life is paper thin
Were here then gone again
Just to reawaken on another page.
So how was your day? So how was your day?
(One must believe)
